Muktinath Tour Overview

Muktinath Tour Package is a unique travel experience. It is purely regal and sacred. In just 06 days travelers explore 06 sacred deities (Pashupatinath, Guheshwori, Bouddhanath, Jalnarayan & Muktinath) and the beautiful Pokhara city which is also called the city of lakes. Travel planners at Yolo Hike have knitted the itinerary in such a way that the tour becomes both pilgrimage and leisure vacation.

The Muktinath tour begins with the sacred prayer (Evening Aarati) at Pashupatinath Temple. It is one of the holiest temples for the Hindus. It is believed that after visiting all char Dhams (Badrinath, Dwarka, Puri, and Rameswaram) you must visit Pashupatinath for a successful pilgrimage of char Dham.

The next destination is Pokhara in our Muktinath Tour Package. Travelers visit Manakamana Temple on the way to Pokhara. It is believed that whoever wishes in the name of Goddess Manakamana wishes to get fulfilled. The religious significance is already there but the way of traveling too can be fascinating. Travelers have to take the cable car to reach the temple. 10-12 minutes of cable car ride over Trishuli River and green lush forest hill, as well as some hamlets, is very picturesque.

Evening at Pokhara is full of clamor. You can relax on the shores of Fewa Lake and get the splendid scenery of Mt. Machhapuchhre. The cool air and the bustling Lakeside area help you rest and relax.

the next day early in the morning, the flight will take travelers to Jomsom. This is the windiest town in Nepal on the bank of the holy Kaligandaki River. Travelers then visit the Muktinath Temple. The temple is very much significant as it is believed that those who visit and take a bath at 108 taps of the temple get salvation. All your sins get flushed. the beautiful landscape and mountain vistas make your tour memorable. Apart from the temple, there is a monastery as well. You can see the ever-flaming light at the monastery. It is truly remarkable.

Travelers then return back to Pokhara on a flight from Jomsom. Sightseeing in Pokhara is one of the most popular attractions in Nepal for both foreigners and Nepalese. Mahendra and Bat Caves provide a chance to do cave exploration. Talbarahi, Gupteshwor Cave, and Bindabasini temple endow the pilgrimage aspect of traveling. Majestic mountain vistas are seen from the top of Sarangkot or Peace Pagoda. Every hour spent in Pokhara is special and memorable.

Early morning flights will take travelers back to Kathmandu from Pokhara. Sightseeing in Kathmandu is full of heritage and temples. Travelers visit four iconic religious sites (Pashupatinath, Bouddhanath, Gujeshwori, and Jalbinayak). In one day travelers will pay their respect to Lord Shiva, Lord Buddha, Goddess Gujeshwori, and Lord Vishnu. Finally, our Muktinath tour ends the next day by departing at Tribhuvan International Airport and farewell.

06 days Muktinath tour cost: INR 42000/- per person (private trip)

FAQs

  • Q1. What types of foods and accommodations available in Muktinath Area?

On the route to Muktinath temple, there are plenty of tea shops and guest houses. During your visit, guests can take advantage of hot water showers in some guesthouses and sample local cuisine as well as a variety of lunch and breakfast options. The choices are restricted due to the high terrain and rough path, but the food and cuisine are incredibly delicious and allow visitors to immerse themselves in the local culture.

  • 1. Muktinath Helicopter Tour from Kathmandu (1:30 hours each way):
The Muktinath Helicopter Tour from Kathmandu takes only one and a half hours. Following darshan/pooja at Muktinath Temple, fly to return to Kathmandu or Pokhara, depending on your preference. Please note that there is no regular helicopter service between Kathmandu and Pokhara; instead, the package requires the chartering of a single helicopter. Fly from Pokhara to Jomsom in the morning (18-20 minutes), then hike for half an hour to the jeep station, then travel another hour and a half from Jomsom to Muktinath by Jeep or bus. To go to Temple, you'll have to hike for another half hour, but those who can't walk can ride a horse. Have darshan and stay at Jomsom for the night. The following day, fly back to Jomsom and connect to a flight to Kathmandu or stay in Pokhara.

    3. By road only (4-8 days):
Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara (206 kilometers, 6 hours) and spend the night. Drive from Pokhara to Jomsom (170 km, 9 hours) via Beni, Tatopani, Ghasa, and Marpha. Drive from Jomsom to Muktinath, have darshan, and then drive back to Pokhara, where you will spend the night. Then return to Kathmandu by car.
