We will wake up early in the morning, have our breakfast or pack them and begin the drive towards Chame on scenic and changing landscapes. We drive through the Prithivi Highway alongside the Trishuli River and join Dumre Highway along the Marsyangdi River with a wilderness of green lush forest, several waterfalls, gorges, and beautiful mountains in the distance. We will cross the Jagat and Dharapani, which used to be the trailhead of Annapurna. Nowadays, the road construction has made to skip these trail heads and reach Chame for Overnight.

Today, we will leave Manang and head towards the next destination, we will approach Tengi Village where the route separates Khangsar or Ghusang. If we follow the way to Khangsar we will reach Tilicho Lake but in this journey, we will choose towards Ghusang to reach Yak Kharka. We will cross a few wooden bridges and come across beautiful Mani walls along the Thorong River to reach Yak Kharka.

We have to take a precaution along the trail today as we will pass by one of the Landslide areas on the trail, as we approach in the beginning, we have to check the condition of the trail, observe the weather and slowly cross the Landslide area and reach ACAP office in Ledar. From Ledar we will pass by another Landslide to reach Thorong Phedi. This day needs ultimate preparation and precaution. we will stay overnight in Thorong Phedi and take a good rest.

Today we will approach the ultimate destination of our circuit, The Thorong La pass at 5416 meters. We will wake up early in the dawn around 4 am, pack the bag and use the essential equipment like headlight, poles, boots cover, and crampons if necessary and walk along the trail. We will have some tea in Thorong high camp and walk gently and smoothly to Thorong La Pass.

The Thorong La will welcome you with prayer flags, a small chorten, and a welcome board. We will spend some time in Thorong La and descend as early as possible to reach Muktinath via the temple complex.

Transportation during Annapurna Circuit

Annapurna Circuit Trek starts from Kathmandu and drives to a Chame village. the route is scenic with some narrow roads where passing by two vehicles is risky. we will transport to Chame in a Mahindra Scorpio Jeep or similar.

Roadways are being constructed till the Manang and will be dusty in summer and muddy in fall. Transportation is still available till Pisang and increases your cost. Transportation to Pisang can make your start a bit easier.

While returning from your journey you will take a flight from Jomsom to Kathmandu. This flight will take about 25 minutes so, you can relax for the day. We will drive back to Kathmandu in a private vehicle.
