Also, NRI and foreigners dream to praise Kailash Mansarovar for Spiritual and visit the beauty of Kailash Mansarovar.

Kailash Mansarovar Overland Tour follows the 16 day itinerary with Visa processing if you make your arrival Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday as Visa processing takes two days for NRI and foreigners. Yolo Hike has an alternative if you are not sure you can arrive these days.

Kailash widely accessible from Nepal's boundaries. A sightseeing excursion in Nepal's capital city kicks off the Kailash Overland Tour. The customized holy mount Kailash trip will take us to UNESCO world heritage sites in the Kathmandu valley. After crossing the Nepal-Tibet border, we visit the Langtang National Park before arriving at Kerung where you will cross Nepal- Tibet Border where Tibet gives you a warm hug. You will drive to the saga and explore till you reach Mansarovar which is greenish-blue in color and is located at an altitude of 4558 meters where you will see the first Glimpse of Holy Mount Kailash. The lake is said to have formerly been Lord Bishnu's resting place. Perform a Kailash Kora starting from Dirapuk, Zuthulpuk, and reach Saga. Today is a significant day in your journey because you will not only visit the holy Lake Mansarovar, but you will also see the holy Mount Kailash for the first time. Early in the morning, go to Mansarovar Lake for a holy bath, puja, and other rituals according to your own traditions. The lake is particularly lovely in the morning, and the glimpse of Mount Kailash adds to the pleasure. The lake's water will undoubtedly be very cold, but the worshippers always seem to be full of spiritual practice and devotion, and they do not want to miss this holy bath.

It is important to note that a recent change in Tibetan government law has made dip bathing in the lake illegal and classified it as a criminal offense. So please refrain from entering the lake.

FAQs

  • Q1. Can I perform a Kailash Yatra without agency?

Kailash Yatra has always become a dream for lots of travelers due to its hidden and mystic trails, stunning crystal clear Mansarovar Lake, and historic, cultural sacred Mount Kailash but due to the travel restriction from the government, the only way to perform your dream Yatra is through the agency.

  • Before you travel, you will need to have a number of documents. It is no longer possible to travel alone in Tibet, and all international tourists must join an organized and pre-booked tour led by a recognized Tibetan tour operator. The first thing you'll need is a Chinese entry visa to enter China and travel to Tibet. However, it is better not to specify that you will be traveling to Tibet while applying for a visa at your local Chinese Embassy, as this will cause complications with the visa being issued. the first permit you'll require is scanned copies of your passport and visa after you've received your visa. The permit takes about 15-20 days to process, but it can take less time during the low season for Tibetan tourism.

  • In Tibet, individual travel is strictly prohibited. It is difficult to obtain a visa for Tibet on your own due to China's rigorous tourism policies. As a result, traveling alone is not an option. Travel permits, a tour guide, and a private vehicle with a driver are required for all foreigners. If you are simply staying in Lhasa and will not be visiting other parts of Tibet, a private vehicle is not required. Yolo Hike, as authorized travel and adventure organization, will arrange everything for its customers, including visas, entry permits, and other necessary documentation unless you were involved in any criminal activities.

  • All-access points to Tibet are in either mainland China or Nepal. As a result, the only way to get to Tibet is through one of the many access points that originate in these two nations. If entering Tibet from mainland China, one must apply for a Chinese visa in advance in their home country. Direct flights are available from mainland China's major cities to cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Xi'an, Guangzhou, Chengdu, Kunming, and others. From the towns of Xining, Beijing, Chengdu, Xi'an, and Shanghai, travelers can take a train to Tibet.

Similarly, tourists entering Tibet from Nepal must apply for a Chinese group visa at the Chinese Embassy in Kathmandu, despite having already obtained a Chinese visa. In roughly three official working days, the group visa will be ready. Visitors may reach the roof of the world, Lhasa, by a one-and-a-half-hour direct flight from Kathmandu. Nepal to Tibet Overland Tour, which takes around 6 days and includes a detour to Everest Base Camp on the North Face, is another option for getting to Lhasa.

  • There are now two types of visas available for admission into Tibet: the ordinary Chinese Entry Visa and the Tibet Group Visa for Nepalese visitors. The Chinese Entry Visa is the most common type of visa issued by the Chinese Embassy, and it is usually given to tourists visiting Tibet. The Tibet Group Visa, also known as the Group Tourist Visa, is a type of visa granted to travelers visiting Tibet from Kathmandu, Nepal. Because of the laws governing the issuing of this sort of visa, it cannot be issued immediately to an applicant. The Chinese visa can be extended in certain Chinese cities; however, the Tibet Group Visa is not capable of extension. The Tibet Group Visa is valid for 30 days or until the end of the tour (if the tour is longer than 30 days), but the Chinese visa is valid for 90 days. While a visitor can apply for a Chinese Individual Visa directly, a tour operator can only apply for a Tibet Group Visa on the tourist's behalf.
