For the Manaslu Circuit Trekking, trekkers need to acquire two special permits. The trail covers the Annapurna region as well as Manaslu Region. Therefore, the permits must be acquired for the Annapurna Conservation Area Project and Manaslu Conservation.

Diverse Community, Vegetation & Landscape

During this trekking trip, trekkers experience diverse communities, vegetation, and landscapes. In the first phase of trekking, the trekkers experience temperate vegetation, Brahmin–Chhetri settlement, and hilly landscape. As the journey reaches the Larke La pass (5106 m) vegetation is alpine to tundra, the landscape is Himalayan and the community is Tibetan – Mongolian. Therefore, the journey is full of multiple disciplines.

There are numerous trailheads for this trekking as well. However, the most famous one is the Soti Machhakhola route. Trekkers reach the trek start point on the jeep via Aarughat Aarkhet. The trail has an amicable friend in the form of the Budi Gandaki River. There are numerous suspension bridges and waterfalls along the way. Even if the walking is tiresome the scenery contemplates all.

Places like Samagaon, Dharmasala, and Dharapani offer a serene environment. Witness the Himalayan hilly atmosphere during the Manaslu Trekking.

Features of Manaslu Circuit Trek

The Manaslu Circuit is quite unique. Along the steep-sided Budhi Gandaki River, the hike follows an ancient salt-trading route. While climbing through the Manaslu region, ten peaks taller than 6,500 meters (21,300 feet) are visible, including summits taller than 7,000 meters (23,000 feet). The Manaslu Circuit is much less crowded due to the restriction from Nepal Government to limit the tourist in the area and this distinguishes the climb to be a special feature.

The Nubri and Tsum ethnic groups make up the majority of the population in this area. These two racial areas are separated by the river branching off of Chhikur. While Nubri became popular after Nepal's tourism opened in 1950, Tsum has retained much of its traditional culture, art, and custom. The Gurungs are the main ethnic group in the region's central hills. If you are going alone and wish to complete the Manaslu Circuit, you should locate a companion. Because the Manaslu Circuit is a restricted region, a permit and a start date must be obtained by at least two persons. Continue reading to learn which permits you to require.
