Today is dedicated to processing your Tibet travel permits and visas. While the paperwork is being handled, you will have the opportunity to explore the vibrant city of Kathmandu. Visit UNESCO World Heritage Sites such as Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa, and Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple). After an early breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to Rasuwaghadhi, the Nepal-Tibet border. What's Excluded
  • Participants are responsible for arranging and covering the cost of their international flights to and from Nepal.
  • Accommodation and meals in Kathmandu beyond the initial 5 nights are not included.
  • Expenses related to meals in guest houses during the journey to Rasuwa Ghadhi, Kyirong, and Thingri, and back, are not covered.
  • Participants need to obtain a Nepal entry visa at the airport upon arrival. The associated fee is not included.
  • The cost of re-entry visas for Nepal is not covered and should be arranged individually.
  • Personal climbing gear required above the base camp is the responsibility of individual participants.
  • Personal insurance, including travel, accident, medical, emergency evacuation, and lost luggage, is not included.
  • Applicable permit fees and customs charges for SAT phones, communication equipment, and commercial filming are the responsibility of individual participants.
  • Expenses of a personal nature, such as drinks, laundry, postage, telephone, and email services, are not covered.
  • Customs duty and import license fees for all expedition goods arriving in Nepal as air/road cargo are the responsibility of individual participants.
  • Tips and bonuses for staff are not included in the expedition package.

Medical Insurance

Prior to embarking on an expedition, all climbers must obtain for complete medical, evacuation, and repatriation insurance coverage in their home countries. This is an essential requirement for involvement.

Ownership of Oxygen Cylinders

Yolo Hike is the exclusive owner of all oxygen cylinders, whether they are used or not. Please be advised that as oxygen cylinders and mask systems are essential parts of our entire adventure gear, there will be no returns for them.
