Everest Base Camp Meals
During Everest Base Camp Trek, we'll be Hiking at great altitudes around the world's highest peak, your body will require plenty of carbohydrates and proteins. The meals we give on this walk are easy and hygienic, but they pay little attention to the options available in major towns. We have three categories of Food consisting Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.
We select the best hotels and Tea houses for you to have the proper and hygienic food during your trek and stay. Ensuring that the Tea House is fresh, clean, delicious, and nutritional. The majority of menus feature regional, Asian, or popular western cuisines. The meal items available become fewer and fewer as we climb altitude.
Breakfast:
Fruits and Vegetables, Muesli Breads, Hashed Brown Eggs, Varieties of eggs (Omelets) Pancakes, Corn Flakes, French Toast with Jam, Butter, Cheese, and Honey, Oatmeal, Hot Chocolates, Tibetan Bread or Chapati, Hot Drinks, Teas and Coffeed, Local Tsampa Porridge, etc.
Lunch:
Dal, Bhat and Tarkari, Pasta and Macronis, Potatoes, Pizza (Mixed, Mushroom, etc.), Salad, Tibetan Bread, Sandwiches, Mo:mos, Soup Items, Thukpa, Vegetable curries, Snacks, Dessert items i.e. Apple pie, Rice Pudding, Spaghetti Noodles
Dinner:
On the menu are Dal (lentils), Bhat (rice) & Tarkari (curry), Tibetan Bread, Various Soup Items, Sherpa Stew, Steaks, Sandwiches, Momo (dumplings), Macaroni Dishes, Tenduk, Spaghetti Noodles, Thukpa, Pasta, Vegetable Curry, Potato Items, Vegetables, Salads, Pizza (Tomato, Mushroom, Mixed), Snacks
At high elevations, we highly recommend liquids such as green tea, lemon tea, hot lemon, ginger tea, and garlic soup (a necessity), as well as fresh vegetable items. Though there will be lots of non-vegetarian options, we will not encourage them because the meat in such establishments is unsanitary.
We strongly advise you to avoid dairy and cheese products, as well as alcoholic beverages, caffeinated beverages, and hot chocolates, as specialists advise against them on high-altitude hikes.
Everest Base Camp Trek Water and Electricity, Recharge
In all lodges, electricity for camera and phone recharge is available at an additional expense. During the trip, you can either buy pre-packaged mineral water or bring boiled water with you. You will also receive a water purifying pill. We advise against drinking water from rivers or taps because the water may be contaminated.
Everest Base Camp Trek Travel Insurance
Everest Base Camp Trek comes with different aspects of Journey, if you have never trekked before you might have a common problem during the hike up to Base camps such as sudden climate change, altitude sickness due to a high altitude of up to 5365m above the sea level, and another unknown risk like an avalanche.
The Everest Base Camp trip requires travel insurance. Yolo Hike requires a copy of each trekker's full travel insurance policy certificate. Medical and emergency repatriation must be covered, as well as helicopter rescue and evacuation costs at high altitudes (up to 6000m). We can suggest insurance firms based on previous client referrals and our own experience, but we do not sell insurance policies.
After booking a trek, trekking members are kindly asked to give their comprehensive insurance information. We shall use the insurance policy and informational materials you supplied us in the event of an emergency. It will assist us in planning a rapid and efficient rescue effort, as well as a transfer for emergency medical assistance. Please double-check that your insurance is valid.
Group and Private Trek
Yolo Hike being an experienced and competitive agency we can arrange both group and private treks. Please be aware that if we add people to your group, it will no longer be considered a group trek, and you will not be eligible for any group-related discounts.
We can accommodate groups of any size. A group leader serves as a guide for each group, with a porter assigned to every two trekkers and an auxiliary guide for groups of more than 11 trekkers.
