Welcome to the vibrant city of Kathmandu! As you arrive, you are greeted by the representative of Yolo Hike and travel through hustle and bustle of the city, the aroma of cultural heritage, and the warm smiles of the locals. You will then be transferred to your hotel where you can freshen up. Excitement and anticipation fill your heart as you embark on the street of Thamel in the evening.

We will apply for and receive the Nar Phu Restricted area permission on this day since Nar and Phu Valley are located in a carefully preserved and restricted area, for which we need to issue a special permit that requires your original passport and visa.

You can visit the Kathmandu Valley, go sightseeing in the area, and go shopping in the interim.

Leaving the crowd of the city behind, you set off on a thrilling and off road drive to Koto. As you journey through winding mountain roads, you catch glimpses of the majestic Himalayas in the distance. The scenic landscapes, terraced fields, and scenic villages leave you in awe of the natural beauty of Nepal which act as the route for Annapurna circuit. The road trip continues as you make your way from Dharapani to Koto. The rugged terrain and the ever-changing vistas keep you captivated throughout the journey. We will traverse through amazing gorges and cascading waterfalls and wonder at the sheer magnificence of the mountains as they seem to touch the sky. We will take a good rest as the trek begins the next day.

Today, the real adventure begins as you lace up your hiking boots and start trekking towards Meta early in the morning. The trail takes you through dense forests, across suspension bridges over roaring rivers, and along narrow paths carved into the mountainside. We will take a break at the cave centers and explore for a while. The sense of achievement and the breathtaking views around you fill your heart with joy and a sense of accomplishment as you take a final ascend to reach Meta. A few lodges that are basic but clean and serve wholesome food make up Meta, which is located on a large open plain.

The trekking continues as you make your way to Phu. The landscape changes drastically, and you find yourself surrounded by barren cliffs and rugged terrain, gorges and make your way through vibrant and unique chortens. The old "dzong" (Tibetan-style stronghold) and the miscellanies of two destroyed forts, which are impressively positioned atop the flatlands behold you, as well as your first glimpse of the three settlements in the locale.

Take a short stroll up to the well-known Tashi Lhakhang Gompa after relaxing and refueling to pay your respects to Lama Karma Sonam Rimpoche, who traveled to Nepal in 1959 alongside the Dalai Lama. The air gets thinner, and you can feel the altitude, but the sense of adventure and the desire to explore the unknown keep you going.

Today is a day to acclimatize and rest in the mystical Phu Valley. Today, you push further and reach the remote village of Nar. The traditional stone houses and prayer flags fluttering in the wind give you a glimpse into the unique culture and way of life of the locals. In Nar, which is a little friendlier and livelier than Phu, you could find the town square bustling with chattering women using back-strap looms to weave wool fabric for rugs and blankets during the day.
