The sacred river Bagmati passes beside the Pashupatinath. There are several Dharmashalas and cremation ghats in Pashupatinath. People who believe in Shiva's faith take baths in the Bagmati river. There is a separate door for the people who come to worship. You can find the ritual items on sale on the roadsides nearby the entrance. Full moon day, Eclipse day, Raksha Bandhan, Teej, Snakrati, and Ekadasi are the best days to visit this temple. In Teej (August) thousands of women come to worship Pashupatinath. They wear a red saree and worship for a happy and long married life. We can watch Ganga Arati and Shiva’s Tandava Bhajan on Saturday and Monday. It gives relief to our mind, and soul and makes us feel slackened.

2. Boudhanath Stupa:

Boudhanath stupa also famous as Boudha is a semicircle stupa located in Kathmandu. Boudha stupa builds around the 14th century after the demise of Buddha is a holy and spiritual place. We can enjoy the Kora with locals in the morning and evening. By walking around the stupa in a clockwise direction we can enjoy it. Boudha is famous for its spirituality and peaceful environment. In 1979 UNESCO listed Boudha as a world heritage site.

We can find different types of shops selling traditional art and crafts. We can enjoy the peaceful environment of the stupa by sitting in a coffee shop. The evening would be the best time to enjoy Boudhanath. Boudhnath is the holy place of Buddhists and Hindus. They come to worship here. But we can find all the religious people around the Boudha.

We can also explore Thangka and learn more about Thangka around the Boudha. We can find beverages called"Tongba" in Boudha. We can enjoy it both hot and cold. Boudhanath stupa would be a perfect place for sightseeing in Kathmandu.

3. Budanilkhantha Temple (Jalnarayan):

Budanilkhanta temple located in Budanilkhanta is a temple of Mahavishnu. The Temple of Mahavishnu is also known as Narayanthan Temple. The statue is the largest and the most beautiful stone-crafted statue all over Nepal. The statue of sleeping Vishnu is 5 m and 13 m in length. Budanilkhantha in Sanskrit means"Old blue throat". This is the title given by God to lord Shiva after he drank poison to save the world. Statue in Budanilkhantha symbolizes Vishnu, which is Trimurties with Brahma and Shiva. It is believed that the water in Budanilakhanta comes from Gosaikunda (the source of Shiva).

Vishnu's four hands hold chakra or disc, shell, lotus flower, and club. Thousands of visitors come to Haribondhini Ekadashi to worship the statue. Monday and the month of Shrawan are the best days to worship here. Located in Kathmandu Valley near Shivapuri Hill, this is a spiritual place to visit.
