A group of mountain hikers recently discovered Kajin Sara as the world's tallest lake, which is destined to become one in Nepal's Manang region. When this occurs and is verified officially, the Kajin Sara Lake will dethrone Tilicho Lake, which is also located in Manang, as the top attraction.
With an elevation of 5200 meters, the lake is currently regarded as the world's new highest-altitude lake. It is 83 meters higher than Tilicho in altitude. It now holds the divergence to be the highest-altitude lake in the Himalayan nation which has yet to be officially verified.
Located in the Chame rural municipality's Singarkharka area has the captivating quality of being pure, transparent, and chilly. Mountain lakes, which are less touched by human activities, maintain their lovely natural state. Kajin Sara Lake is one such case. Its length and width are anticipated to be 1,500 meters and 600 meters, respectively.
The local community in Manang district was introduced to Kajin Sara way before, being situated in a particularly hidden valley from the world it took a while to be introduced through its altitude and famous as Singar Lake among natives. Some say Kajin Sara is just a pond and does not classify as Lake and most of the articles and searches on google recognize it as Lake.

No matter if Kajin Sara is the highest altitude lake or not, the hike to Kajin Sara is an ideal opportunity to explore the Himalayas of Nepal from a rural angle, taking you camp and hassle through Manang valley and walking through the snow. You can experience the cliffs and panoramic scenes of snow-capped mountains in the background.
From the Chame center of the Manang district, it can be reached via an 18-hour hike. 24 kilometers separate from Chame and the lake. The months of July through November are the best for visiting the lake. Mount Manaslu is located to the east of the lake, Mount Damodar to the west, Mount Lamjung and Mount Annapurna to the south, and Mount Peri in Tibet to the north.
The elevation of Tilicho Lake is 4919 meters. It is 1.2 km wide and 4 km long. The lake is 200 meters deep. According to the local municipal authorities, the district's tourism numbers will increase after Kajin Sara Lake overcomes Tilicho Lake as the world's tallest lake.
