Bouddhanath Stupa is a UNESCO world heritage site and the biggest stupa in Nepal. It is believed that the bones of Kasyapa Buddha (a previous incarnation of Lord Buddha) are buried beneath this gigantic stupa.

Another UNESCO world heritage site, the Pashupatinath temple is located on the bank of the sacred Bagmati river. Which is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is believed that at the time of the Mahabharat war, Pandavas wanted to be free from the sins of killing their brothers and priest. But Lord Shiva was unhappy with Pandavas and avoided them by transforming himself into the bull. Later Pandavas saw the hump in Kedarnath, the arms in Tunganath, the naval and stomach in Madhyamaheshwer, the face in Rudranath, and the head in Pashupatinath and worshipped these places.

Swayambhunath which at the top and can see a 360degree view of the valley. This hilltop shrine is linked to the story of the Kathmandu valley formation. Manjusri had a vision of the Lotus at Swayambhu and traveled from Tibet to worship it. He created a gorge at Chovar because he thought the valley would make a good town and make the site more accessible to human pilgrims. The lake's water drained away, leaving the valley where Kathmandu presently stands. The flower was changed into a stupa, and the Lotus was transformed into a hill.

After visiting those places, you will feel the beauty within differences.
