A Yolo Hike representative will welcome you upon your arrival in Tribhuwan Int. Airport at Kathmandu. A pickup vehicle will be arranging on our behalf suitable to your group size. You will be transported to hotel where you can freshen up and join for a discussion at our office if any queries are left behind. The issues and possible changes will be addressed in the day.

The journey begins from Kathmandu with a scenic drive within a Araniko Highway which takes us to Jiri. Jiri is a small town located at an altitude of 1,905 meters and serves as the starting point for classic EBC trek. We will then drive through a village of Shivalaya in a bumpy roads of varying landscapes to reach Bhandara. The drive takes approximately 7 hours, and along the way, you will be treated to stunning views of the Himalayan ranges, lush green forests, and traditional Nepali villages.

After a comfortable night's stay at Bhandara, the trek begins with a gentle downhill towards Likhu river and tiny yet lovely Dokharpa and Gorunda village. We will pass over a couple of suspension bridges. We will then ascent towards the village of Kinja where we will have our lunch and follow the trail to Sete. Sete is situated at an altitude of 2,175 meters and dominated by the Sherpa community, and the people there are so friendly and welcoming. It's incredible to see how diverse and rich this trek is, with different communities and cultures along the way.

Starting with a beautiful settlement of Dagchu and Goyam we will pass through the tiny meres, calm settlements and Mani walls. One of the highlights of the classic trek is crossing the Lamjura Pass, which is located at an altitude of 3,530 meters. The pass offers panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and valleys and is a challenging yet rewarding part of the trek. After crossing the pass, you will follow Thaktop Gompa, Hilary school and descend towards Junbeshi, which is located at an altitude of 2,670 meters. The trek takes approximately 5-6 hours and requires a good level of fitness where your pre booking training comes to effect.

After a hearty breakfast in Junbeshi, we begin our trek through Junbeshi River crossing accustomed wooden bridges. The trail takes us through lush green forests of rhododendron and pine, as we gradually descend towards the Salung through Dudh Koshi River. We cross several suspension bridges adorned with prayer flags in Phurteng, providing stunning views of the surrounding valleys and mountains. Along the way, we pass through Takshindu La and reach Takshindu, small Sherpa villages and terraced fields where you will also find a Cheese Factory. We may also encounter some yaks and mules carrying supplies to the higher regions. Finally, we reach Nunthala, a small settlement perched on a hillside, where we will rest for the night in a teahouse. The journey lasts for 7 hours.

Today's trek takes us through terraced fields and dense forests as we make our way towards Bupsa. The trail includes a mix of uphill and downhill sections, with some rocky paths and stone steps. Along the way, we pass through traditional Sherpa and Rai villages of Jubling and Khari Khola, where we can observe the local lifestyle and culture. As we gain altitude, we can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding mountains, including glimpses of Mt. Everest and Mt. Lhotse on a clear day. In the afternoon, we reach Bupsa, a small village with teahouses where we will spend the night.

Leaving Bupsa behind, we continue our trek towards Surke. The trail takes us through rhododendron forests and terraced fields, with occasional steep ascents and descents. We cross several suspension bridges over roaring rivers, offering thrilling experiences as we make our way towards Surke. This village is known for its beautiful monastery, where we can witness the local religious practices and learn about the Sherpa culture. We will spend the night in a teahouse in Surke.

Today's trek is relatively short, as we make our way towards Phakding, our next stop. The trail takes us through picturesque landscapes, including dense forests, terraced fields, and traditional Sherpa villages. We cross several suspension bridges over the Dudh Koshi River, with breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. As we approach Phakding, we can catch a glimpse of the famous Hillary Suspension Bridge, which marks the entrance to the Sagarmatha National Park. In Phakding, we will stay in a teahouse and prepare for the next day's trek to Namche Bazaar.

Today's trek is challenging as we make our way towards Namche Bazaar, the gateway to the Everest region. The trail takes us along the banks of the Dudh Koshi River, crossing several suspension bridges and passing through dense forests of pine and cedar. We ascend steeply, gaining altitude gradually, as we approach Namche Bazaar. Along the way, we may encounter local wildlife, such as Himalayan Thars and musk deer and signs of wild animals crossing along the trails and territories. As we reach Namche Bazaar we will also encounter fellow trekkers and exchange stories of our adventures. we are rewarded with stunning panoramic views of Mt. Everest, Mt. Lhotse, and other surrounding peaks. Namche Bazaar is a bustling Sherpa town with numerous teahouses, shops, and markets where we can rest, acclimatize, and explore the local culture.

Today is a rest day in Namche Bazaar for acclimatization purposes. It is crucial to allow our bodies to adjust to the high altitude to avoid altitude sickness. We can use this day to explore the town and take short hikes to nearby viewpoints for more panoramic mountain views. We can also visit the local museum, which provides insights into the Sherpa culture, history, and the Everest region. In Namche Bazaar, we can indulge in local cuisine, shop for souvenirs, or simply relax and soak in the breathtaking scenery of the Himalayas.

Leaving Namche Bazaar behind, we continue our trek towards Tengboche. The trail takes us through rhododendron forests and offers glimpses of Ama Dablam, Mt. Everest, and other surrounding peaks. We descend to the Dudh Koshi River and cross a suspension bridge before ascending steeply to Tengboche, a scenic village famous for its ancient Buddhist monastery. We can visit the monastery, witness the daily prayers, and enjoy panoramic views of the mountains. Tengboche is a peaceful place to spend the night in a teahouse and soak in the spiritual ambiance of the region.

After breakfast, we continue our trek towards Dingboche, a popular acclimatization stops for trekkers en route to Everest Base Camp. The trail offers stunning views of Mt. Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam as we pass through dense forests and picturesque landscapes. We cross several suspension bridges and ascend gradually to Dingboche, a beautiful village nestled in a valley surrounded by towering peaks. Dingboche is known for its terraced fields, stone walls, and unique architecture. We will spend the night in a teahouse in Dingboche, preparing for the challenging trek ahead.

This day will help us further acclimatize to the high altitude and prepare us for the upcoming trek to Everest Base Camp.

Leaving Dingboche, we continue our trek towards Lobuche. The trail takes us through alpine meadows, crossing glacial streams and moraines. As we gain altitude, the landscape becomes more rugged and barren, and the air thinner. We pass through Dughla, where we can see memorials dedicated to mountaineers who lost their lives climbing Everest. We then ascend to Lobuche, a small settlement nestled in a valley with stunning views of Nuptse, Pumori, and other peaks. We will spend the night in a teahouse in Lobuche, preparing for the final leg of our journey.

Today is the day we've all been waiting for - the trek to Everest Base Camp! We start early in the morning, trekking through rocky terrain and crossing the Khumbu Glacier. The trail takes us to Gorak Shep, a small settlement at the foot of Mt. Pumori. After a short rest, we continue our hike to Everest Base Camp, the starting point for mountaineers attempting to summit Mt. Everest. We pass through the rocky and icy landscape, with panoramic views of the surrounding peaks. We can experience the view of Khumbu Glacier and spend some time at Everest Base Camp, taking in the awe-inspiring scenery and soaking in the accomplishment of reaching this iconic destination. We then trek back to Gorak Shep.

Today, we wake up early in the morning and hike to Kala Patthar, a popular viewpoint that offers panoramic views of Mt. Everest, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Nuptse, and other surrounding peaks. The hike to Kala Patthar is challenging but rewarding, and we can witness the sunrise over the Himalayas from the top. As you will not be able to see Mount Everest Peak completely from EBC, Hike to Kalapatthar is kind of a mandatory for trekkers. After soaking in the breathtaking views, we descend back to Gorak Shep for breakfast. We then continue our trek back to Pheriche, retracing our steps through Lobuche and Dughla. We will spend the night in a teahouse in Pheriche, enjoying the lower altitude and more comfortable climate.

Today, we descend further as we make our way back to Namche Bazaar. The trail takes us through beautiful rhododendron forests, crossing suspension bridges and passing through small Sherpa villages along the way. Upon reaching Namche Bazaar, we can take a well-deserved rest, explore the bustling town, and perhaps do some souvenir shopping. We will spend the night in a teahouse in Namche Bazaar.

Today is the last day of our trek as we make our way back to Lukla. We retrace our steps through the familiar trails, passing through pine forests, overpass suspension bridges, and enjoying the stunning views of the Himalayan peaks. Upon reaching Lukla, we can celebrate the completion of our trek with our fellow trekkers and the local Sherpa guides and porters. We will spend the night in Lukla, pondering about our incredible adventure.

Today, we take an early morning flight from Lukla back to Kathmandu, enjoying the aerial views of the mountains one last time. Upon reaching Kathmandu, we will be transferred to our hotel, where we can rest and relax and clean up after the arduous trek. In the evening, we can celebrate our successful trek with a farewell dinner, enjoying the local cuisine and cultural performances.
